Each RTTK item has the potential for at least two dynamic upgrades: one if their team wins at least two of their remaining Group Stage games and one if their team qualifies for the Knockout Stages of their respective UEFA competition.

Road to the Knockouts items are special upgraded Live Items in FC 24 that have the potential to earn two further dynamic upgrades throughout the Group Stage of each tournament:

– If their team qualifies for the knockout stages of their current competition.
– If their club earns two wins from their remaining Group Stage matches.

Q: When will players be upgraded in-game?
A: Upgrades will go live in-game starting on the Friday of each matchweek. This means RTTK players will be upgraded at the end of a week following a club earning their second win of the Group Stage or after mathematically qualifying for the next round.
Q: Does the player have to play in order to receive upgrades?
A: Road to the Knockouts upgrades are only based on team performance, so a player doesn’t have to feature in the game (or any games) to be eligible.
Q: Which matches count towards the ‘Win 2’ Upgrade?
A: Each Group Stage match won after September 29th will count towards the “Win 2” upgrade. With RTTK starting earlier in the UEFA competition cycle, players will have more matchdays than ever before to earn these two wins.
Q: Will these players continue to be upgraded after the group stage?
A: Road to the Knockouts players do not receive any upgrades during the Knockout Stages. However, RTTK is just the beginning—future UEFA competition campaigns in EA SPORTS FC 24 will offer you opportunities to continue to celebrate the Knockout Stages of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Women’s Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League in Ultimate Team.
Q: What happens if a team places third and qualifies for the knockout stages of a lower European competition?
A: A player’s team needs to reach the Knockout Stages of their current competition in order to earn the “qualification upgrade”. This means that only players whose teams finish in 1st or 2nd position in their group will receive those qualification-specific ratings boosts.
Q: Why are the UEFA Women’s Champions League players eligible for an additional upgrade?
A: To celebrate the debut of the UEFA Women’s Champions League in Ultimate Team and RTTK, certain Women’s Champions League RTTK players will be eligible for an additional upgrade opportunity. Certain Women’s Champions League RTTK players will enter Ultimate Team before their team has qualified for the Group Stage, and because those teams will have to compete in an additional qualifying round to reach the Group Stage, those RTTK players will also be eligible for one more upgrade for making it to the Group Stage.
