Kick off the Football Ultimate Team™ season with the largest UEFA Road to the Knockouts (RTTK) yet, offering more match days and opportunities for upgrades as clubs advance.
Starting in 2024/25, the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League will shift to a league phase of 36 teams, enhancing excitement. RTTK items can receive multiple upgrades based on club performance, with significant changes to gameplay and rewards in FC 25, ensuring players find matches at the right competitive level.
Road to the Knockouts items are special upgraded Live Items in FC 25 that have the potential to earn three further dynamic upgrades throughout the League Stage of each tournament:
UEFA Champions League & UEFA Europa League RTTK items
– +1 OVR Upgrade if their club gets three victories from their League Phase matches .
– +1 OVR & Role ++ upgrade if their club scores at least 1 goal in 4 different matches.
– PlayStyle+ & Role ++ upgrade if their club finishes in the Top 2 of their respective competition’s league table.
UEFA Conference League items
– +1 OVR Upgrade if their club gets two victories from their League Phase matches .
– +1 OVR & Role ++ upgrade if their club scores at least 1 goal in 4 different matches.
– PS+ & Role ++ upgrade if their club finishes Top 2 in the league table.
UEFA Women’s Champions League items
– +1 OVR Upgrade if their club gets two victories from their Group Stage matches.
– +1 OVR & Role ++ upgrade if their club scores at least 1 goal in 4 different matches.
– PS+ & Role ++ upgrade if their club wins their Group Stage.

Q: When will players be upgraded in-game?
A: Upgrades will go live in-game starting on the Friday after each match week. This means RTTK players will be upgraded at the end of a week following a club earning one of the upgrade requirements.
Q: Does the player have to play in order to receive upgrades?
A: Road to the Knockouts upgrades are only based on team performance, so a player doesn’t have to feature in the game (or any matches) to be eligible.
Q: Which matches count towards the “Wins” upgrade?
A: Each UCL League Phase will count towards the “Win” upgrade, including matches prior to UEFA Road to the Knockout kicking off in-game. This also applies to UEFA Europa League items and UEFA Conference League items, with the competition starting on October 3. The “Win” upgrade for UWCL will be counted starting on October 8, when the Group Stages begin.
Q: Does scoring 1+ goals mean the team should score more than 1 goal to count toward the upgrade?
A: For the items to receive the “Score” upgrade, clubs should score at least 1 goal in 4 different matches.
Q: Will these players continue to be upgraded after the league phase/group stage?
A: RTTK items are only eligible for upgrades during the League phase/Group stages.
