Popular football stars will join Lionel Messi on FIFA 14 cover. UK, France, Spain and Italy will have special covers with those players but there will be more. By now, it is also confirmed special coverstars on North America and Central & South America.
The FIFA 14 cover for Central and South America was the second one to be announced, one week after to be revealed the FIFA 14 cover for North America. Juventus FC and Chilean International star Arturo Vidal will be featured on the cover of FIFA 14 when the game launches in Chile this September. The 26 year-old midfielder will join FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi on the cover and also serve as an EA SPORTS Football Ambassador.
Vidal has been a key player as both a member of Juventus and the Chilean National side. Last season, he scored 10 league goals for the club en-route to their second consecutive Serie A title. In international play, Chile is poised to reach next year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
According to EA Sports Executive Producer David Rutter, Arturo Vidal “perform at a high level for both club and country this year and become a very popular, young player known for his talent and passion he brings to the game”. Vidal is seen by EA Sports as a key player to help EA Sports to make a deeper connection with football fans in Central and South America.
The FIFA 14 coverstar for Central and South America said that “It’s an honor to have been selected to appear on the cover of FIFA14 not only because I am a big fan of the game, but also because I’m looking forward to have the opportunity to share my passion for football with EA Sports and its millions of fans all over the world”.
