The FIWC Regional Finals in June and July will determine the next 22 participants of the final round of this year’s FIFA Interactive World Cup. Eight competitors have already qualified for the FIWC Grand Final in London after their performance at the EA SPORTS™ FIFA Ultimate Team Championship in Berlin. The final roster of the 32 players, who will compete for the official World Champion Title on EA SPORTS™ FIFA 17, will be completed by the two winners of the FIFA Interactive Club World Cup. FIWC Regional Finals Season 3 Dates
The events will kick off with the European Regional Final being held in Munich, Germany. 50 players will battle it out over a five-day period, while each day one player from each console will qualify for the Grand Final. By the end of the fifth day, ten names will be added to the Grand Final roster. The next stop on the Road to London will be the Rest of World Regional Final, taking place in Doha, Qatar, where 64 players will compete over two days. The ROW Regional Final will feed two seats on each console for a total of four tickets to London. The last of the three FIWC Regional Finals will be the Americas event. The format will be similar to the Qatar tournament, but the difference being that 32 players participate and eight, four on each console, qualify for the FIWC Grand Final in London. The FIFA Interactive World Cup, along with its partner and qualifying tournaments on the Road to London, is the largest video game tournament in the world. The virtual football championship is organised by FIFA and its presenting partner EA SPORTS™. The tournament has already enabled over 6 million football fans from all around the world to compete for the title of the best FIFA player 2017. This year’s winner does not only receive $200,000 USD prize money, but also an invitation to the Best FIFA Football Awards and with that the chance to meet the best football players in the world.
