Ignite engine was the EA Sports game engine for the next-gen consoles but in FIFA 15 it will run also on PC’s.
Ignite engine will power FIFA 15 on PC
The EA Sports Ignite engine delivers a new level of innovation, further blurring the line between the real-world and the virtual. Developed by EA Sports, games powered by the new engine will be alive: players think, move and behave like real athletes, with environments as dynamic and ever-changing as real-world stadiums.
FIFA 15 was officially announced in June at the E3 venue and the most important news regarding FIFA 15 is that the IGNITE engine will feature on the PC version of the game. PC gamers were very disappointed to not see the new game engine running in FIFA 14 as it happened with new-gen consoles Playstation 4 and XBox One. Now they will have the chance to play FIFA as they can do in the best consoles because PC version will include all the same core features coming to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
According to Andrew Wilson, CEO of EA, “there needs to be some adjustment in terms of how EA Sports Ignite engine works to facilitate the open nature of PC architecture, rather than the closed nature of console architecture”.

Electronic Arts’ next-gen engine for sports games, EA Sports Ignite, will debut on Windows PC with FIFA 15
Do you have plans to play FIFA 15 on your PC ?
I hope the current gen versions will be as good as the next gen versions, apart from graphics and sound. In Fifa 14, the PS4 versions shows the crowd after a goal, more parts of the stadium etc.. That’s not the case in the PS3 version..
